It’s that time of year again when College Station comes to life, game day dresses are dusted off, and tailgating tents cover Texas A&M’s campus once again. Football season is here and it seemed as if it could not come soon enough. I have had dreams of walking up that ramp in Kyle Field to make my way to the second or third deck as a slight breeze made its way through those beautiful red-bricked arches. To think that my dreams are a reality once again makes my heart so full of excitement, and with this special time comes an array of outfits specific to this particular sport and its dedicated, rowdy, and distinctive crowd. The stands will be filled with ladies wanting to show off their Aggie Pride as well as their inner fashion expertise as they display some of the most creative game day outfits.
As I stood at the Texas A&M vs. UCLA game, I was amazed by the style that surrounded me. The creativity of my fellow Aggies and their outfit constructing skills surprised me, although it shouldn’t have, considering Aggies are some of the most intelligent people around. There were various ensembles I would have never thought to put together, yet they worked perfectly for the event! While I highlight some future game day outfits, feel free to take notes if you need some inspiration!
The Game Day Dress
It’s a perfect “go-to” and you can easily pair it with some Kendra Scott earrings, a long necklace or some bangle bracelets to complete the outfit!
The Jean Shorts Ensemble
You can pair pretty much anything with jean shorts. Okay, well maybe not ANYTHING, but denim shorts are very versatile.
I would pick moisture-wicking fabric in this Texas heat too. You can purchase all kinds of skorts, shorts, polos, and tanks that are made with moisture-wicking fabric for all of that sweat you’ll work up while being the most red-ass Aggie at Kyle Field.
Don’t worry! I did not forget about the accessories. They are just as crucial to an outfit as any other piece. This is the fun part of completing an outfit because you can mix and match different types of jewelry and find the combination that fits you, personally. There are really just so many options to pick from, but don’t let that overwhelm you. Some of the basic pieces that go well with game day outfits are maroon or white Kendra Scott earrings, long necklaces, any combination of rings you prefer, and bangle bracelets, so have fun expressing your own style through these little accents.
